Lady 1800s
After 1850 thanks to the economic welfare, the haute couture rose. Dresses became more precious and more comfortable, made of several materials, ornaments and laces. The skirts were supported by multiple under-skirts. In return to protect legs, still a taboo, women were obliged to use large panties. Often, especially for the dress-coats, they used flounces and flowers to make them larger.

Lady 1800s
Since 1870 fashion changed: the front skirts are flat while the back skirts are larger. A short train of the dress touched the land, and the close-fitting body gave a particular glamour to the famale body.

Gentleman 1800s
In the male fashion, they used the black colour, above all for more close-fitting suits. For men, there were two important lines: a short frock-coat to wear during the day, and the tail-coat during the night. They wore the waistcoat and the double-breasted cot with a deep neckling. The trousers' form is tubular.
